CALL TO
ORDER AND ROLL CALL:
Mayor Blair
Johnson called the Special Meeting of the Ortonville City Council to order
at 6:57 P.M. Roll call was taken with the following present: Mayor Blair
Johnson, John Cunningham, Mike Dorry, Bob Meyer, and Dan Oakes, with the
following absent: Nick Anderson and Artie Arndt. City Staff present:
David Lang. Media Present: None. Others Present: None.
AGENDA
AMENDMENTS/APPROVAL:
The
agenda was approved by consensus.
DISCUSSION & REVIEW OF PROPOSED 2008 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS:
Resolution 07-080, Resolution Adopting the Proposed 2008 Capital Program
Motion
by Johnson, second by Oakes, to approve
Resolution 07-080, Resolution adopting the Proposed 2008 Capital Program.
Discussion and questions followed. It was noted the Capital Program as
proposed reflects a ten-year replacement cycle on vehicles and most
equipment. Discussion ensured regarding the potential cost savings to the
City of Ortonville and to Big Stone County sharing of a number of services
including: Graphic Information Services, Information Technology, Library,
Airport, Office Space, Swimming Pool, Law Enforcement, Fire, and
Ambulance.

call: Aye: Johnson, Cunningham, Dorry, Meyer, and Oakes. Nay: None.

Motion Carried Unanimously.
