Upon due public notice, Mayor Ellingson Oakes called the special meeting of the Ortonville City Council to order at 4:35 p.m. Roll call was taken and the following were present: Dave Dinnel, Mel Reinke, Mike Dorry, Mary Gustafson, Dan Oakes, Lisa Berkner, and the following were absent: none. City Staff Present: Roman Taffe, David McLaughlin. Media Present: None. Others Present: Ken Archer, Jim Foster, Carolyn Drude, John Jurgens, Bill Thyne.

Carolyn Drude, Ehlers & Associates, Inc., presented the single bid received for the sale of $3,365,000 Public Utility Revenue Warrants. Ellingson moved and Dinnel seconded that a resolution be adopted Accepting Proposal On The Sale Of $3,365,000 Public Utility Revenue Warrants, Series 2001 And Providing For Their Issuance (RES 01-070). With all members voting in favor, the motion carried.

Mayor Ellingson next read the bids received for the hospital construction project. Ellingson voiced his concern over the City’s past experience with the apparent low bidder. Oakes moved and Reinke seconded to adopt a resolution Awarding Hospital Project Construction Bid (RES 01-071). With Dorry, Reinke, Dinnel, Oakes, Gustafson voting for and with Ellingson, Berkner voting against, the motion carried 5-2.

There being no further business to come before the Council, Dinnel moved and Gustafson seconded that the May 30^th special meeting of the Ortonville City Council be adjourned. With all present voting in favor, the motion carried and Ellingson declared the meeting adjourned at 4:55 p.m.
