MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE ORTONVILLE CITY COUNCIL
COUNTY OF BIG STONE, STATE OF MINNESOTA
TUESDAY, MARCH 30, 2004 1:00 P.M.
CITY OFFICE
CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL:
Mayor Dinnel called the special
meeting of the Ortonville City Council to order at 1:00 P.M. and reminded
members the purpose of the meeting was to discuss general city topics and
issues. Roll call was taken with the following being present: Mel Reinke,
Lenore Sellin, Artie Arndt, Dan Oakes, Mike Dorry, Lisa Berkner. City
Staff Present: Char Grossman. Media present: Ryan Stattelman. Others
present: Elsie Perrine, James A. Larson, Norman Schultz, Mel Ehlert, Mary
Lou Meyer, Bob Meyer, Gary Dinnel.
AGENDA:
Council members Oakes and Arndt presented agendas with a number of items
for discussion. The council began discussion on the following topics:

Five Year Capital Improvement Plans
Ø
Lakeside Park – Rocks
Ø
Sale of City Lots
Ø
County Policing
Ø
2003 Capital Outlay Freeze
Ø
Contracted Services
Ø
Rita Road Funding
Ø
Plan for $900,000 Sanitary System Funds
Ø
Budget Recommendations
The above listed topics were discussed and no action was taken on any
specific topic or project.
A Five-Year plan will be prepared by
all boards and committees and returned to the City Office by May 3rd.
Budget proposals from Council Members
will be completed and delivered to the City Office by April 15th.

There being no further business to
come before the Council, Dinnel adjourned the
March 30, 2004 special meeting of the Ortonville City Council at 4:11 P.M.
