MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

OF THE ORTONVILLE CITY COUNCIL

COUNTY OF BIG STONE, STATE OF MINNESOTA

TUESDAY, APRIL 6, 2004 11:00 A.M.

BIG STONE COUNTY COURT HOUSE

 

CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL:

Mayor Dinnel called the reconvened April 5, 2004 regular meeting of the Ortonville City Council back into session at 11:00 A.M.  Roll call was taken with the following being present:  Mel Reinke, Lenore Sellin, Mike Dorry, Lisa Berkner, Artie Arndt with the following absent:  Dan Oakes.  City Staff Present: Char Grossman, Jason Mork, Curt Hormann, Gary Dinnel.  Media present:  Ryan Stattelman. Others Present:  Orin Haukos, Joe Berning, Elsie Perrine, Bruce Swigerd, Dave Torgerson, Dick Lane, Wade Athey, Alvin Maas, Michelle Knutson, Darlene Nichols-Born. 

The Big Stone County Commissioners are requesting information as to the May 1st deadline.  Is the 911 equipment to be removed by then?  Swigerd updated the group

as to the discussion of the ad hoc committee.   

Oakes arrived at 11:30 A.M. 

It was the consensus of the County Commissioners and City Council Members to reestablish the ad hoc committee with all ad hoc members being present during discussions.  The committee is to meet and make recommendations as to possible changes in law enforcement.    

ADJOURNMENT:

There being no further business to come before the Council, Reinke moved the adjournment of the meeting and with no objections thereto, Dinnel adjourned the April 5,  2004 regular meeting of the Ortonville City Council at 11:39 A.M.
