MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING

OF THE ORTONVILLE CITY COUNCIL

COUNTY OF BIG STONE, STATE OF MINNESOTA

MONDAY, APRIL 25, 2005 7:00 P.M.

DIALYSIS BUILDING

 

CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL:

Upon due public notice, President Pro-Tem Oakes called the special meeting of the Ortonville City Council to order at 7:00 P.M. Roll call was taken with the following being present:  Lenore Sellin, Mike Dorry, Artie Arndt, Lisa Berkner, Mel Reinke with the following absent:  Dave Dinnel.  City staff present: Char Grossman, Curt Hormann.   Others present:  Brad Olson, Scott Meyer, Jim Heinecke, Maureen Laughlin, Bruce Nelsen, Burton Nypen, Emil Swezey, Howard Janssen, Travis Sherod.  Media present:  Holly Hilbrands.

 

PUBLIC HEARING:

At 7:03 P.M. President Pro-Tem Oakes opened the public hearing for the purpose of the establishment of a deer hunting season within the City Limits of Ortonville.   Brad Olson, DNR, explained the committee’s recommendations for the proposed archery deer hunt. After all who wished to be heard, President Pro-Tem Oakes declared the public hearing closed at 7:54.

 

A motion was made by Arndt and seconded by Dorry and passed unanimously to approve the management deer hunt within the City Limits of Ortonville with further details to be forthcoming.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

Dorry moved and Arndt seconded and the motion passed unanimously for the adjournment of the meeting and with no objections thereto, Oakes adjourned the April 25, 2005 meeting of the Ortonville City Council at 7:56 P.M.
