MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

OF THE ORTONVILLE CITY COUNCIL

COUNTY OF BIG STONE, STATE OF MINNESOTA

THURSDAY, MARCH 22, 2007 7:00 P.M.

CITY OFFICE

CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL:

Mayor Johnson called the reconvened March 19, 2007 regular meeting of the Ortonville City Council back into session at 7:00 P.M.  Roll call was taken with the following being present:  Mike Dorry, John Cunningham, Bob Meyer, Nick Anderson, Dan Oakes, Artie Arndt with the following absent: None.  City Staff Present: Char Grossman, Tim Scherer, Deb Hicks.  Others present:  None.  Media present:  Mike Swenson.

Discussion continued on the selection of a Clerk-Administrator.  Arndt moved and Cunningham seconded that the following resolution be adopted:

RESOLUTION 07-029

RESOLUTION OFFERING CLERK-ADMINISTRATOR POSITION

BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Ortonville, Minnesota, offer Greg LaFond the position of Clerk-Administrator at Grade 10, Step 10.

Upon roll call vote the following voted aye:  Arndt, Oakes, Cunningham, Johnson, Anderson, and the following voted nay: Dorry, Meyer.

Resolution 07-029 passed this 22^nd day of March 2007.

ADJOURNMENT:
