Joint Meeting With Park Board

CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL:

Pro Tem Mayor Cunningham called the Special Meeting of the Ortonville City Council to order at 6:00 P.M.  Roll Call was taken with the following Present:  Craig Randleman, Steve Berkner, Bob Meyer, John Cunningham, and Mike Dorry. Absent: Mayor Balir Johnson and Nick Anderson. Staff Present: City Administrator David Lang, Deputy Clerk Susan Lundell, EDA Coordinator, Vicki Oakes. Media Present: Mike Swenson (Ortonville Independent). Others Present: Elsie Perrine, Park Board Member Don Sherman, Trailhead Ad Hoc Committee Members Artie Arndt and Kari Dorry, Marcy Stotesbery, Alice Radermacher, Darrell McKinney, Todd Verheul, Sara Verheul, Dr. Bryan Delage.

 

REVIEW PROJECT PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS – MINNESOTA RIVER REGIONAL TRAILHEAD PROJECT:

Discussion focused upon placement of the pavilion, street, green space, restrooms, proposed sidewalk. Street closure would be deferred to a future year. There were questions as to which way the pavilion concessions would face and who would run the concessions and pavilion.

Kari Dorry provided an updated list for the playground equipment. A suggestion was made to use the closed street for skateboarding, bicycling, and pedestrians. This street would be a practical connection to the regional trail. Berkner asked that the project proceed by getting quotes. No official action was taken.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

Acting Mayor Pro Tem Mayor Cunningham adjourned the meeting by consensus at 6:38 P. M.
