Award Bids For 2008 Season Street & Sidewalk Repairs

CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL:

Mayor Blair Johnson called the Special Meeting of the Ortonville City Council to order at 5:30 P.M.  Roll Call was taken with the following Present: Mayor Johnson, Nick Anderson, Craig Randleman, Steve Berkner, Bob Meyer, John Cunningham, and Mike Dorry. Staff Present: City Administrator David Lang. Media Present: None. Others Present: None.

 

CONSIDER AND APPROVE STREET COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS TO AWARD BIDS FOR 2008 SEASON STREET AND SIDEWALK REPAIRS

Street Committee Recommendation: To accept the Street Committee recommendations to award bids for the 2008 season street and sidewalk repairs

Resolution 08-031, Accepting the Street Committee Recommendations to award bids for the 2008 Season Street and Sidewalk Repairs

 

Motion by Dorry, second by Randleman to approve Resolution 08-031 accepting the Street Committee recommendations to award bids for the 2008 season street and sidewalk repairs as follows:

·         Bituminous mix $49.00 per ton laid – Bituminous Paving

·         Seal Coat 11,000 gallons; 500 tons of granite rock - $37,500.00 – Bituminous Paving

·         Crack Fill 5,000 lineal feet @ $0.57 per foot - $2,850.00 – Roadway Surfacing

·         Class Five 500 tons to 1,000 tons @ $6.85 per ton -  Ronglien Excavating

·         Pit Run 500 tons @  $5.85 per ton – Ronglien Excavating

·         Sidewalk Removal @ $1.25 per square foot – Dallas I. Hanson Construction

·         Curb & Gutter Removal @ $2.50 per lineal foot – Dallas I. Hanson Construction

·         Install Sidewalk @ $4.50 per square foot – Dallas I. Hanson Construction

·         Install Curb @ Gutter @ $19.50 per lineal foot – Dallas I. Hanson Construction

Upon roll call vote, the following voted Aye: Anderson, Berkner, Cunningham, Dorry, Johnson, Meyer, and Randleman. Nay: None.

All in Favor. 7-0. MCU. (Motion Carried Unanimously)

 

ADJOURNMENT:

Mayor Johnson adjourned the meeting by consensus at 5:35 P. M.
