CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL:

Pro Tem Mayor Nick Anderson called the Workshop Meeting of the Ortonville City Council to order at 6:05 P.M.  Roll Call was taken with the following Present: Pro Tem Mayor Nick Anderson, Craig Randleman, Steve Berkner, Mike Dorry, Bob Meyer, John Cunningham. Absent: Mayor Johnson. Staff Present: City Administrator David Lang, Deputy City Clerk Susan Lundell, and Joe Sullivan of Flaherty & Hood, P.A.

 

Joe Sullivan of Flaherty & Hood is an attorney and lobbyist representing the Coalition of Greater MN Cities (CGMC), an organization that lobbies the legislature on behalf of member cities.

 

Council Member Dorry arrived at the meeting at 6:25 P. M.

 

CGMC works on four main issues on behalf of member cities. Those are: 1) Local Government Aid, 2) Annexation, 3) Transportation, and 4) Economic Development. Joe Sullivan reviewed a handout explaining the accomplishments of the CGMC during the past year, and thanked the Council for joining the organization in 2007.

 

Pro Tem Mayor Anderson adjourned the meeting by consensus at 6:30 P. M.
