Oakes moved and Reinke seconded that the following resolution be adopted:

RESOLUTION 02-020

RESOLUTION AWARDING QUOTE AND APPROVING PURCHASE OF CABLE PULLER

WHEREAS, the Utility Committee (“Committee”) of the Council of the City of Ortonville (“Council”) had previously solicited quotes for equipment to pull electrical cable as part of the 1^st Street Project (“Equipment”), and

WHEREAS, Equipment quotes were received as follows: Border States $13,050, Minnesota Electric $15,347.00 (new unit) $13,812.63 (demo unit); Graybar $12,950.00 (new unit) $11,950.00 (demo unit), and

WHEREAS, Equipment quotes have now been reviewed by the Committee and Council, and

WHEREAS, Council deems demo units with full warranty to be valid quotes, and

WHEREAS, the quote of Graybar Electric Company, Sioux Falls, South Dakota (“Graybar”) in the amount of $11,950.00 for a demo unit has been determined by the Council to be the lowest responsible quote for the Equipment.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council that:

1.    The quote of Graybar for a demo unit Condux 08674691 HD Cable Puller is hereby accepted with funds to come from 1^st Street Project funds.

2.      That the Mayor and Clerk-Administrator be and are hereby authorized to execute necessary contract documents with Graybar.

Upon roll call vote the following voted aye: Dinnel, Sellin, Arndt, Oakes, Berkner, Reinke, and the following voted nay: Dorry.

Resolution 02-020 passed this 4^th day of March 2002.
