Dorry moved and Dinnel seconded that the following resolution be adopted:
RESOLUTION 02-026 RESOLUTION APPROVING YEAR-2 BLANDIN FOUNDATION GRANT APPLICATION AND GRANT FISCAL AGENT
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Ortonville, Minnesota (“City”) has endeavored to improve the lives of the citizens of the Ortonville and Big Stone Lake area, and
WHEREAS, the Blandin Foundation was sought to assist in the professional development of the community through the Blandin Community Investment Partnership (“BCIP”), and
WHEREAS, efforts of the BCIP participants have generated numerous projects for which additional funding is required, and
WHEREAS, a grant request has been written by the BCIP participants to Blandin Foundation for funding assistance for said projects, and
WHEREAS, said grant application requires a fiscal agent for administration of said grant and City has been requested to act in the capacity of fiscal agent for said grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Ortonville, Minnesota that the grant application to Blandin Foundation be and is hereby approved and that City agrees to act as fiscal agent for Blandin Grant and further that the Mayor and Clerk-Administrator are hereby authorized to sign necessary documents for said grant.
Upon roll call vote the following voted aye: Dorry, Dinnel, Reinke, Berkner, Oakes, Sellin, Arndt, and the following voted nay: none.
