Reinke moved and Oakes seconded that the following resolution be adopted:

RESOLUTION 02-034

RESOLUTION AWARDING QUOTE FOR

REPLACEMENT OF POLICE STATION GARAGE DOORS

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Ortonville (“Council”) had previously solicited quotes (“Quote”) for the removal and replacement of certain garage and entry doors at the Ortonville police station (“Project”), and

WHEREAS, Project quotes were received as follows: Vollmer Construction $4,558.35; Lundberg Construction $4,858.00; Dallas I. Hanson Construction $5,775.00, and

WHEREAS, Quote specified overhead doors to be “Raynor or equal”, and

WHEREAS, Council deems overhead doors of Vollmer quote to not be equal to Raynor overhead doors, and

WHEREAS, the quote of Lundberg Construction, Ortonville, Minnesota (“Lundberg”) in the amount of $4,858.00 has been determined by the Council to be the lowest responsible quote for the Project.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council that:

1.    The quote of Lundberg Construction is hereby accepted with funds to come from Police Department capital outlay funds.

2.      That the Mayor and Clerk-Administrator be and are hereby authorized to execute necessary contract documents with Lundberg.

Upon roll call vote the following voted aye: Dinnel, Sellin, Arndt, Oakes, Berkner, Reinke, and the following voted nay: none.

Resolution 02-034 passed this 15^th day of April 2002.
