Dinnel moved and Reinke seconded that
the following resolution be adopted:
RESOLUTION 02-018
RESOLUTION APPROVING TELEWORK PROJECT CONTRIBUTION
WHEREAS, the council of the City of
Ortonville, Minnesota (City) has applied for grant dollars from the
Blandin Foundation (Blandin) for a Telework Center Project (Project), and
WHEREAS, Blandin has approved a
$200,000 matching grant to City for Project dependant upon in-kind and
monetary contribution of matching amounts, and
WHEREAS, Northside Medical Clinic
(Clinic) will be vacant and available at or near the end of 2002, and
WHEREAS, City deems the Clinic a
desirable and advantageous location for Project, and
WHEREAS, City determines that Project
will serve a public purpose, and
WHEREAS, City owns Clinic,
THEREFORE BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY
RESOLVED as follows:
- that up to 3,000 square feet of
office space in the Clinic building shall be leased to the Telework
Center Project for five years and the City shall provide electric,
water, and sewer to Project for not less than two years as part of the
lease agreement
- the rental amount for five years
shall be waived as the City’s contribution to the Telework Project
- the lease is conditioned upon the
Project’s receipt of the $200,000 Blandin matching grant
- Project may not assign the lease or
sublet any portion of the premises
- City deems the value of the
aforementioned contribution to be in excess of $145,000.
Upon roll call vote the following
voted in favor: all present, and the following voted against: none.
