Oakes moved and Reinke seconded that the following resolution be adopted:

RESOLUTION 02-043

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DALLAS I. HANSON, INC. 

BID FOR 2002 SIDEWALK, CURB, & GUTTER BID

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Ortonville (“Council”) had previously advertised for bids to be received for sidewalk removal and installation, curb & gutter removal and replacement along various Ortonville streets (“Project”), and

WHEREAS, Project bid was received by Dallas I. Hanson Construction, Inc. as follows: Sidewalk removal 3,000 Square Feet (SF) @ $1.50/SF; Curb and Gutter removal 300 Lineal Feet (LF) @ $2.75/LF; New Curb and Gutter 300 LF @ $17.50/LF; 4” Concrete Walk 3,000 SF @ $3.00/SF; Driveway Approach 1,000 SF @ $4.50/SF; and

WHEREAS, Project bids have now been reviewed by the Council, and

WHEREAS, the bid of Dallas I. Hanson, Inc., Ortonville, Minnesota (“Hanson”) in the amounts presented in their bid and as listed above has been determined by the Council to be the lowest responsible bid for the Project.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council that:

1.    The bid of Hanson is hereby accepted.

2.      That the Mayor and Clerk-Administrator be and are hereby authorized to execute necessary contract documents, as prepared by City Attorney, with Hanson.

Upon roll call vote the following voted aye: Dinnel, Sellin, Arndt, Oakes, Berkner, Reinke, and the following voted nay: Dorry.

Resolution 02-043 passed this 6th day of May 2002.
