Berkner moved and Arndt seconded that the following resolution be adopted:

RESOLUTION 02-045

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, INC.

BID FOR 2002 STREET CRACK FILLING BID

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Ortonville (“Council”) had previously advertised for bids to be received to rout, blow and seal cracks and joints of various Ortonville streets during the summer of 2002 (“Project”), and

WHEREAS, Project bids have now been received and reviewed by the Council and they are as follows: Highway Improvement, Inc., Sioux Falls, SD, $4,100.00; Precision Sealcoating, Inc. Princeton, WI, $19,500.00, and

WHEREAS, the bid of Highway Improvement, Inc., Sioux Falls, South Dakota (“Highway Improvement”) in the amount of $4,100.00 has been determined by the Council to be the lowest responsible bid for the Project.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council that:

1.    The bid of Highway Improvement is hereby accepted.

2.      That the Mayor and Clerk-Administrator be and are hereby authorized to execute necessary contract documents with Highway Improvement.

Upon roll call vote the following voted aye: Dinnel, Arndt, Sellin, Dorry, Berkner, Oakes, Reinke, and the following voted nay: none.

Resolution 02-045 passed this 6^th day of May 2002.
