Reinke moved and Oakes seconded that the following resolution be adopted:

 

RESOLUTION 02-046

RESOLUTION AWARDING TREE REMOVAL BID

 

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Ortonville (“Council”) had previously advertised for bids to be received for the removal of certain trees in the City of Ortonville during the spring and summer of 2002 (“Project”), and

 

WHEREAS, Project bids have now been received by the Council as follows: Jim Roggenbuck Tree Service, Lake Benton, MN $8.25 per inch for a total of $4,125.00 for 500 projected inches of removal, and

 

WHEREAS, the bid of Roggenbuck Tree Service (“Roggenbuck”) in the amount of $8.25 per diameter inch for a total of $4,125.00 for the estimated amount of removal has been determined by the Council to be the only and lowest responsible bid for the Project.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council that:

 

1.    The bid of Roggenbuck is hereby accepted.

 

2.      That the Mayor and Clerk-Administrator be and are hereby authorized to execute necessary agreements with Roggenbuck.

 

3.      Funds for Project shall be allocated from existing Tree Department fund balances.

 

Upon roll call vote the following voted aye: Berkner, Dinnel, Oakes, Arndt, Sellin, Reinke, and the following voted nay: Dorry.

 

Resolution 02-046 passed this 6th day of May 2002.
