The 2009 Sports & Leisure Show - Big Stone Art's Council Booth

We are inviting all artists in the area to participate in this year's booth at the Sports & Leisure Show in Ortonville (March 20 - 22).  We are asking that everyone who wants to be in this show, register by Tuesday, March 10th
Call Bobby Tate at 839-2073 to register.

At this point, we are asking participants to limit their presentations to 20" x 20".  However, once we know how many artists will be in the show, additional space may be available according to the number of those who anticipate.  So, if only ten artists want to be in the show, the space will increase.  If twenty participate, the space becomes smaller.  After March 10th, artists will be notified as to the actual space they can use.  Remember, the walls are Styrofoam and your art work can't be too heavy.

Tile Making
The public will be invited to make tiles at the show.  We will have a table set up with instructions and tools.  An article will be in the paper so people get the information about this.  After the show, tiles will be collected and the BSAC will ask for volunteers to put together tile compositions which will be displayed throughout the community.  We will need volunteers at the booth to help with this project, so please take this into consideration when you sign up to help at the booth.

Setup is Friday, March 20th at 6:30 p.m.
Bring your materials to the school and help put the booth together.  We will be using Don & Rob's walls as the booth's parameters.  The walls are styrofoam and cannot support a lot of weight, bring your own mounting hardware.

We will also need you to take your things away and help pull down our space at the end of the show on Sunday.  Everyone needs to be responsible or make arrangements with someone to care for their work.
